I’ve been waiting forever for Carbon Poker to host a major tournament series and finally that day has come. It’s about time! Starting on Sunday, March 4th, Carbon Poker will be hosting 70 tournaments events in what it calls the “Poker Maximus.”
The Poker Maximus will consist of a variety of different poker games, tournaments at various buyin levels and plenty of satellites to get in on the action. The tournament series will run from March 4th to the 25th and already has $1,500,000 of guaranteed prizes ready to go. The series will finish with a $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event that promises a first place prize of at least $50,000.
You can get in on the action by buying into any tournament directly or by winning your way in through satellites. Carbon Poker will be hosting satellites from now through the end of the tournament. Win a satellite and you’ll get a free seat at one of the Poker Maximus events. With satellites running for as little as $0.55, there’s a chance for everyone to make a name at the Poker Maximus.
In addition to the $200,000 Guaranteed main event, the Poker Maximus will also host a $150,000 guaranteed event every Sunday during the course of the tournament series. Carbon Poker is a strong USA-friendly poker site with a large player base. This new tournament series will likely push Carbon Poker to new traffic levels. Cash game players should also take note; big tournaments always have juicy side games. As players bust out of the tournament and look for other things to do, the cash games always seem to swell up with soft competition.
