Poker Cheat Software

I’m not going to beat around the bush here: poker cheat software does not exist. Anyone who claims to have poker cheat software is lying to you and is about to ask you for money. I’ve researched the topic to death (trust me) and poker cheating programs simply do not exist.

How can I be so sure of this? Well, I actually have concrete evidence that poker cheating software does not exist. Or if it does exist, it is very cleverly hidden. Every hand of online poker is observed by thousands of eyes and recorded in dozens of poker tracking databases such as Holdem Manager and PokerTracker.

Huge databases consisting of millions of hands have been compiled by numerous sources. From that data, we have been able to determine the average win rate of just about every online poker player on the internet. This might sound scary, but it’s just a big compilation of data – nothing sinister here. If there is anyone out there winning at an improbable rate, the poker community eventually notices that something isn’t right.

Case in point: the Absolute Poker / Ultimate Bet superuser scandal. A few years ago, Ultimate Bet and its sister site Absolute Poker made news headlines when it was revealed that employees of the company had been using administrator access to play poker with all hole cards revealed. Poker players eventually caught on when the following image was released to the poker world:

Superuser winrate chart

What you’re seeing here is a big database of poker player win rates. The win rate is along the bottom and the % of times players have put money in the pot is along the side. You can see that the vast majority of online poker players are clustered right around the middle. But you see that little anomaly up in the top right corner of the picture? That player was winning at an astounding rate despite putting money in the pot nearly every single hand.

This is pretty much impossible. Not only was his winrate nearly impossible, but the fact that he was playing nearly every single hand sealed the deal. This player was clearly cheating. It was eventually revealed that it was an inside job conducted by employees of the poker site.

Logic Says Poker Cheat Software Doesn’t Exist

If the above case doesn’t show how difficult it would be to get away with using poker cheating software, basic logic should help prove my point. If anyone actually does possess poker cheating software and is clever enough to hide it with an average-looking winrate, that person would not tell you about it.

Poker cheating software would be worth millions of dollars to the person who possesses it. That person would not sell it to you on some cheesy looking website for $19.95. There’s nothing to gain by selling it! That would only aware the poker sites of its existence and end the party for anyone using it.

I’ve seen some websites claim to sell poker cheating software because they want to take revenge on some poker room or because they want to help the poker community. I’m not sure if it’s even worth debunking this, but think about the claim. This person wants to do a good deed, but at the same time that person is using cheesy sales copy and limited-time special offers to get you to buy the cheating software. Yea, right.

Poker Software Can Give You an Advantage

Poker cheating software doesn’t exist, but that doesn’t mean all poker software is worthless. There are several poker programs that you can use to gain a significant advantage. Namely, the following two poker programs:

These poker programs do not cheat, but they do give you an advantage. They both track every hand of poker that you play and compile it in a database. From that database, you can collect a wealth of information related to your opponents, their playing styles and your own results. You can learn more about both programs by visiting those pages.
