True Poker is a relatively small poker room that offers a great environment for beginners. The True Poker download is offered in two versions, 2D and 3D. The graphics are unique and provide for an immersive experience. The software is unfortunately only available for the Windows platform. However, other OS users can use Parallels or some type of Windows emulator to run the software if they wish to do so.
We like the idea of 3D poker, but the True Poker software isn't very impressive. We found PKR Poker to be a much more impressive poker site. Not only does PKR have more traffic, but the software comes with better graphics and many more options.

The registration process will only take a couple of minutes after installation and you will be playing cards in no time. True Poker offers players a selection of Texas Holdem variations, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. They offer players approximately one tournament per hour and the stakes are relatively low. If you chose save, go to where you saved the file and double-click TruePokerSetupHigh.exe to start the installation process. Follow the installation prompts to complete the software installation. After the installation has finished, you now should have a True Poker icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to run the software.

Once the application opens, you will be prompted with a First Time Player message. This message will say, "This appears to be your first time playing True Poker. In order to login you must create a user account...Would you like to create an account now?" Click Yes, Create My Account.
From here, follow the simple prompts that will guide you through setting up a login ID and a password. True Poker will also collect some necessary personal information during this process in order to setup your account. Once this is complete, you are now ready to begin playing poker.
